A Small Story About a Name

We don’t always realize how quietly and unnoticed certain words settle into our lives — until one day we discover they’ve stayed for good. Sometimes they come from a child’s laughter, from imaginary worlds, from those moments when reality and imagination embrace without arguing about which one is more real. That’s how “Vedio” appeared — not as the name of a website, but as a small, bright presence that I never imagined would one day become a home for my words.

A small clarification — “Vedio” is not a name I invented. It was born in the mind of a child, in that magical age when friends can be both real and imaginary, and equally important. For her, “Vedio” was a companion, a game, a comfort, a secret. For me — just one of those sweet childhood words that appear and disappear without leaving a trace. Or at least that’s what I thought back then.

If only adults paid more attention to children’s words… Maybe we would notice those tiny sparks that later grow into something meaningful. Children don’t just invent names — they create worlds. They don’t just speak — they leave traces. And “Vedio” was exactly that kind of trace: short, gentle, almost invisible, yet strong enough to stay in my memory as something that didn’t want to be forgotten. I didn’t understand it then. Today — I do.

And just as this imaginary friend opened doors to magical worlds for the child, “Vedio” slowly became a key to another kind of space for me — not a child’s world, but just as real. A space where words can breathe freely, ideas can appear without being judged, and thoughts can wander without pretending to be more organized than they are. Maybe that’s why the name stayed — because it carries the lightness adults often lose, but my words always look for.

And how lovely it would be if this website turned out to be that magical space we adults sometimes miss — a place where words don’t rush, thoughts don’t compete, and ideas are allowed to simply exist. A place where you can return to that childlike ease without pretending everything is perfectly arranged. A place where “Vedio” continues to live — not as an imaginary friend, but as a reminder that the world always needs a little more imagination.

And I’m simply opening the door… Not to impress, not to prove anything, not to be “right.” But because I believe that any space that begins with a story has a chance to become a home. And if “Vedio” is the first word that brought me here, then maybe the next ones will find their way on their own. Welcome.
